Photo Search Engine Skylin.es Launches at TechCrunch Disrupt NYC (Photos)

Skylines, the world's first real-time photo search engine for matching personal interests of users with real-time, relevant pictures, launched this week at TechCrunch Disrupt in New York City.

According to CEO, Martijn Pannevis, "Skylines is to real-time photo search, what Google is to website search."

Skylines features search functionality that focuses on the interest graph rather than the social graph. Interests vary from someone, something or somewhere, and are mined using Facebook Likes, Twitter (hashtags and saved searches), or created manually.

Skylines also announced the release of their new mobile applications, Skylines for iPhone and iPod Touch, and Skylines for Android and the launch of a backchannel that opened this week specifically for the TechCrunch Disrupt NYC 2011 conference (hashtag: #tcdisrupt).
