After choosing her treatment, she let her fans know and promised to return. For 173 days the anchor was away, but on Wednesday morning she kept her promise and returned to her place on the show.
The treatment was difficult for Robin Roberts, but her upbeat attitude made all the fans pull for her. The celebration lasted all morning and one of the most elaborate cakes ever seen was shared for the celebration. Complete with a logo on top and a mini version of the cast, it seemed like a perfect reason to have a piece of cake, even if it was so early in the morning.
