It's never too early to start prepping for the winter holidays, right? So although Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet across the southland, we're looking ahead-- to Christmas, especially with the Chance family on Raising Hope.
Come on, how adorable will little Hope be hearing "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," nibbling on sugar cookies, wearing footie pajamas, and playing more with wrapping paper than any actual presents? Well, unfortunately this year we may not get to find out. This year, in a nod to the classic It's A Wonderful Life, the Chance family goes to the movies and are surprised to find similarities to their own life, which transports Jimmy (Lucas Neff) into a cinematic dream state where he imagines what life would be if he never met Lucy (guest star Bijou Phillips) and never had Hope.
Um, can you say "It's a terrible life!?" Because that sounds awful! And thankfully that is the conclusion Jimmy, too, comes to. But not without some hilarious "what if" alternate scenarios first.

Judging from that sad little Christmas tree, it appears an homage to Charlie Brown is also being paid.
Raising Hope airs on FOX on Tuesdays at 9:30pm. "It's A Hopeful Life" airs on December 13th.
