MC Hammer and Psy showed up to say hello to Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper on Monday night, but it was a complete surprise on CNN's New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin show. The shock had the two stars looking the wrong direction and both had to be shown where the cameras were in the booth. Anderson Cooper was gracious, but it was so funny as he didn't even know he was talking to MC Hammer.
“That was MC Hammer???? I thought he was a preacher now?!" said Anderson Cooper after the two stars had left. While MC Hammer didn't introduce himself very well, Psy was definitely looking for publicity in the moment.
“Psy and MC Hammer just crashed our show. Just another normal night at work. #CNNNYE,” tweeted Jack Gray, the CNN producer that was part of the live show. Sharing a picture of the moment, it was chaos on the platform and a hysterical moment that fans loved watching.
While the funniest moment might not have been when Anderson Cooper realized it was MC Hammer, but before when Kathy Griffin completely insulted Psy and he responded so kindly that even the comedian was shocked.
