Kate Moss is under fire this morning after her Thursday comment in an interview using a quote that encourages girls to stop eating. The quote, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.” Kate Moss used the phrase in a WWD fashion website interview, and she has been under fire ever since. This is the same quote used on many websites that encourage girls to avoid eating.
Kate Moss, 35 has made a successful living as a thin model and she has been associated with helping to grow the very thin model trend that developed in the 1990s. Kate is approximately 5’6”-5’7” and weighs 105 pounds.
In a Good Morning America interview on Friday, Mary George who runs an eating-disorder charity Beat called Moss's words "very unfortunate." "Comments like this make it even more difficult for young people struggling with an eating disorder," she said.
Moss's modeling agency, Storm, made a statement to GMA said that Moss’s words were part of a longer statement and it was pieced together and misinterpreted.
"This was part of a longer answer Kate gave during a wider-ranging interview, which has unfortunately been taken out of context and completely misrepresented," the Storm agency said in a statement. "For the record, Kate does not support this as a lifestyle choice."

To be honest, she's right: women need to stay thin for their men. There are too many women out there who don't realize that God put them on this planet (see Genesis) to serve cook, clean, have babies, and to look good for their men.
How come thin girls get so much flak from the fat ones when they speak out? I mean, look at all of the "big girl empowerment" adds out there consoling the fat girls for "just being true to themselves."
You go, Kate. Preach on.
Out of curiosity, Storm said the statement was "pieced together" and "taken from a longer statement." Did they bother to say what the original statement was? My guess is, no. <sigh>
Honestly, I think your use of the word "thin" to describe her is ... generous. I would have said, "waif!"
Moss clearly has no clue the impact she has on young women. Sad. Terribly sad.
Wendy, I'm getting the impression you consider youself..a big girl. Which is great for you. But to assume that big is normal and healthy is just flat wrong.
Thin people live longer. Thin people are prettier. Thin people poop less and therefore have less of an impact on the planet.
How about the real eating disorder that effects millions of clinically obese Americans? If your body mass index is over 30 put down the cheeseburger and give Kate Moss a break. Being skinny is her choice and it certainly has less effect on my life than the millions of people who choose to be obese.

Wow Frank. You are something else. Women need to stay thin? Whys that? And where do you get that skinny people are prittier and better than bigger people? I have a sister who lucked out in our families gene pool and is naturally super thin, a size 3 and is 5'10. She eats nothing but junk all the time, cheeseburgers, fried foods, sugary soft drinks all day, candy, nothing healthy at all ever. I am considerably larger than her because I didnt luck out, but I eat way healthier than her, lots of vegetables and leafy greens that she would never touch and fruits, she doesnt even know what a fruit is unless its in candy form. People will automatically judge me to be the fat lazy one when in fact it is quite the opposite. So how is this fair Frank. No one cares when skinny people over eat or dont eat right, but if I try to eat an icecream cone in public I get laughed at and pointed at. Explain to me how this is fair. Explain to me how that makes her better than me.
