Inspired by the Valie Export piece “Tap and Touch”, Trenda’s new performance will focus on personal space in regards to mobile devices. The artist will be completely covered in a synthetic suit with forty small 2.6″ LCD cell phone screens. The image on these devices will change depending on how far away the viewer is from the artist. This interactive performance will entail having the artist invade the viewer’s personal space and vice versa, the viewer will be in the artists’ space. The LAAC is a collective of emerging artists that represent the intricacy and diversity of the Los Angeles culture. Artists Include Eder Cetina, Victor Solomon, Carlos Ulloa, Paul Wehby, and Tiffany Trenda.

Like the freeways that make the terrain of LA, their concepts are driven from their experiences in the urbanization of the city of angels.
