ALABAMA'S WAY TO ITS FIFTH NCAA TITLE was simply a matter of not counting mistakes. Not that the Crimson Tide made many mistakes during Saturday's Super Six Final -- and if there was a wobble or a step, there was a near-perfect routine to follow it up.
Alabama is one of only four schools to have had the honor of winning an NCAA team championship. Two others -- UCLA and Utah -- also qualified for the Super Six final but were not able to catch the SEC Champions.
"I want you to know that the competition has never been any tighter or any tougher," Alabama coach Sarah Patterson said during the post-meet press conference. "There were a lot of great teams out on the floor tonight and I think the biggest difference was that people were not perfect, but we left nothing out on the floor."
