Billed as author, comedian and one-woman show, Raleigh R. Pinskey will speak to the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers at their 5:30-7:30 p.m. meeting Wednesday, Jan. 30. Speaking on “101 Ways to Get on Radio, TV and Internet Talk Shows in the Digital Age,” Pinskey will share the following:
- How to use social media to properly contact your target media
- What’s current in media release writing
- Email subject lines that get you noticed
- Ten tips to ace an on-air radio or TV interview
- How body language can sell your book
Pinskey is the founder and president of The Raleigh Group PR and the author of “101 Ways to Promote Yourself,” “The Zen of Hype” and four self-published books on branding, public relations and marketing.
“I met Raleigh Pinskey about 10 years ago at a small-business function,” said Brooks, “and have never stopped being impressed with her enthusiasm and knowledge of marketing and public relations.” Brooks expects Pinskey to offer a wealth of tips and techniques to SSWW members Wednesday night. “They will surely have many things they can use immediately with regards to promoting themselves and their books,” she adds.
