Brooks plans to help workshop attendees immerse themselves in the art of powerful storytelling and take an unflinching look at their own stories. In addition, they will learn to incorporate fictional techniques into their memoir writing to enhance their effort to share galvanizing events.
President and founder of the Scottsdale Society Women Writers, Brooks is also a member of the Arizona Authors Association and the Phoenix Writers Club. She holds a master’s degree in organizational management and was an Arizona State University faculty associate for more than fifteen years.
Brooks has been a resident of Arizona for more than 35 years and has been active in the business community during all of that time. Through her publishing consultation business, Brooks Goldmann Publishing Company, LLC, she strives to be the author’s partner by helping the author launch his or her own work.
An inspirational speaker and published author, Brooks has written “Gifts of Sisterhood” and also conducts a grief workshop, “Journey from Grief to Gratitude.” “Gifts of Sisterhood,” the story of her sister’s battle with lung cancer, earned a prestigious Arizona Authors Association Literary Contest Nonfiction award.
