Phoenix Rescue Mission

Their mission is to 'rescue lives, save lives, change lives, and serve lives,' and that is exactly what they are doing. They not only help the homeless that are living on our streets, but they save them from the dangers and heat hardships they often must face. They not only give them food, clothing, water, and shelter, but more importantly they give them their time. The mission changes their lives because they go beyond just the basic necessities and really tries to help them get on their feet. They have counseling programs and support groups that can help them with other matters that may be going on in their lives, such as health issues, family issues, etc. They are a great place to donate your time to for they really are making a difference in other people's lives.

Contact info: They are located at 1801 S 35th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85009 -- phone number is (602) 233-3000. Click this link to get more information: Phoenix Rescue Mission

St. Vincent de Paul

A Phoenix charity that strives to provide aid for our homeless community but that also provides people  the opportunity to make a difference by helping out our homeless community. The Phoenix Diocesan Council has been assisting central and northern Arizona families since 1946. They provide services to our homeless such as medical and dental care for the working poor, charity dining rooms, thrift stores, a transitional housing shelter and general assistance for individuals in need. This charity has made a difference in many people's lives who were once homeless, or those that have donated their time here. Another great charity to donate your time to.

Contact info: Their main location is at 420 W. Watkins Road Phoenix, AZ 85002. For general information, please call (602) 266-HOPE (4673). To volunteer, please call (602) 261-6886. To donate perishable items, please call (602) 261-6828. Click this link to get more information: St. Vincent de Paul

André House

André House is a ministry to the homeless and poor populations of the Phoenix area. This wonderful ministry was founded by two Holy Cross Priests back in 1984. They are located in downtown Phoenix, and help hundreds of people that come through their doors on a daily basis. They offer simple services to those in need such as providing food, clothing, showers, blankets and shelter. They also provide mass services to our homeless to show them that God is with them always during their time of struggles. They estimate that they need more than 6,500 volunteers in order to provide services six days a week. Why not become one of those needed 6,500 volunteers?

Contact info: They are located at 213 S 11th Ave Phoenix, AZ 85007. Please call (602)-255-0580. Click this link to get more information: Andre House
