This past Wednesday, Australian designer Phoenix Keating debuted his Spring Summer 2014 collection at an exclusive press preview held at Go Studios. His collection, which is called Vaudeville, is inspired by past and future influences. Specifically, it’s inspired by androids with human qualities that go back in time to the 1920s, with Josephine Baker as the key point of reference. Prevalent fabrics in the collection include metals, leather, organza, and silk. The line is certainly sensual, full of emotion, and perfect for the modern-day woman that appreciates traditional accents.
While the entire line is quite impressive, stand-out pieces include a silver metallic top paired with a red pleated skirt with a black banded waist, a green short-sleeve organza dress, a bleached patterned skirt, a green organza blouse, and a bleached pattern leather jacket. What a glamorous, contemporary set of looks for the upcoming spring and summer seasons!
