The month of love is almost here. If your sweetie is the amorous type, that probably means candy, flowers and a romantic dinner, complete with a refreshing beverage to get the night started.
On February 14 and 15, Province restaurant inside the Westin Phoenix Downtown will offer an indulgent four course dinner that will be available from 4-10 p.m. On Valentine’s Day, there will be live entertainment starting at 7:00 p.m.
In honor of this special time, Province is offering a signature cocktail, the Lavender Cosmo for $10. The recipe for this fruity, floral drink is included below, but if you’re going to be in Phoenix during that time, stop in and try one at the restaurant. Hurry though, because it will only be available for a limited time. Better yet, if you need a place to stay, take advantage of the hotel’s special sweetheart rates, available from February 14-17. The rates start at $199 per night.
During your stay, be sure to take advantage of the Lover’s Lunch on February 16 from10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The menu includes a starter to share, an entrée, cinnamon churros and a split of bubbles.

To make lavender simple syrup, combine equal parts of water and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; add some fresh or dried lavender and steep for 15 minutes. Strain and use. Any leftover simple syrup can be stored in the refrigerator.

Lavender Cosmo
Servings: 1 cocktail
- 1 1/2 ounces Sobieski Vodka
- 1 ounce Triple Sec
- 3/4 ounce lime juice
- 1/2 ounce cranberry juice
- 1/2 ounce lavender simple syrup
- 3 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
Directions
Add all ingredients in a shaker. Shake and strain in a martini glass. Add a lime twist to garnish.
