On May 17 Azalea Harper turned 3-years- old and has been diagnosed with an inoperable malignant tumor early this month and per doctors has two months to live. Days after her birthday she was taken to the hospital after she was unable to move her arm while getting dressed. The day after her birthday the family noticed a limp but thought it was maybe just a sprained ankle.

Medical staff revealed that the child has a brain stem glioma cancerous tumor. The golf sized tumor can not be operated on due its location on the brain stem. However, radiation treatments have begun five days a week for the next six weeks. The medical staff is only giving her two months to live with the radiation treatments and predicted an even shorter life expectancy without.

“We are trying to raise money for the family for medical bills and other expenses so little Azalea has her parents by her side for the next two months without them having to think about the additional stress of bills and funeral costs,” said the family spokesperson Rebecca Ellis.

Azalea is one out of seven children in the Harper family and her parents have lost time off of work being by their daughters side. Other family members are helping with the children, but there are still costs involved. In addition per the family’s Go Fund Me account they are also attempting to get her into a clinical trial and would like assistance with things not covered by insurance.
