If you were around in the early 1990s, you know this group for sure! Selling over 10 million copies, this sweet-voiced trio of daughters of famous musicians also scored three number one hits off their self-titled debut album and ruled the music charts in the early ‘90s. Consecutive number one hits “Hold On” and “Release Me” propelled the female trio to the top spot in charts around the world.
The band, made up of Chynna Phillips (daughter of The Mamas and The Papas’ John & Michelle Phillips) and sisters, Wendy and Carnie Wilson, (daughters of famed beach Boy Brian Wilson) took some time apart in the mid ‘90s, had a reunion in 2004, some high profile solo activities (especially from Carnie) in between, but always remained musicians and today have recorded a new studio album, Dedicated, that they are supporting on this tour.
Dedicated covers tunes made famous by the Beach Boys and the Mammas and the Pappas in a nod to the notable parents of the members of Wilson Philips.
The beautiful voices and harmonies these lovely ladies bring to music is a treat and if you are a fan, I hope you can make it out the the show!
