Hands down, “Royals” remains one of my favorite songs of 2013 and maybe will remain on my all-time list – it’s just a perfect song. So I was really pleased to hear that “Royals” author, Lorde would bring her live show to Phoenix April 17, 2014 to Comerica Theatre.
Tickets are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com and the venue box office.
Tickets are priced at $35
In March, Lorde and her band will be embarking on a now 20-date tour across North America which starts in Austin, so I feel extremely fortunate that the tour will make a stop in Phoenix. Special guest Lo-Fang will open the 7:30 p.m. show.
Lorde, also known as Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor, is a New Zealander who turned 17 in September. In the short time that she has been on the worldwide musical radar, she is officially the youngest artist to top the chart since 1987, she is a Grammy-nominated artist and the youngest artist to write all of her own material and top the U.S Billboard charts. Her debut single “Royals” remained at #1 for an impressive 9 weeks, topping the charts in an additional 45 countries and selling 7.5 million copies across the globe. Not bad – and all before her 18th birthday.
Be sure to check out her self-released, The Love Club EP and if you want to see more Lorde and not have to travel too far from home, she will perform at Coachella April 12 &19.
