My husband loves Jewel. I always got why; she sings like an angel, is very attractive and has that certain something that you can't quite define, but you know when you see it. But I just never really got into her music or listened to much other than the hits on the radio.

Recently, after hearing her on the Howard Stern Radio Show on SiriusXM radio, I found a new interest in Jewel and really loved the new single she played, “Two Hearts Breaking,” the only new material from her latest release Jewel Greatest Hits. The record contains several rare versions and re-cuts of hits and a duet with Kelly Clarkson.

Cool Bargain Alert:
On Jewel’s website, you can get an autographed copy of the Greatest Hits CD for $9.99 – a slam dunk in my book.

Jewel is an acclaimed singer and songwriter who has sold over 27 million albums since releasing her debut album, Pieces of You that went fifteen times platinum, becoming one of the best-selling debut albums of all time. Her legions of intensely devoted fans just love her and her honest straightforward style makes it easy to understand why.

Interesting Fact’s:

  • Jewel spent most of her childhood in Alaska.
  • Her family is featured on the Discovery Channel’s reality show, Alaska: The Last Frontier. The show chronicles the day-to-day struggles of the Kilcher family, including Jewel’s Dad and other members of her family.
  • She was once homeless and lived in her car in San Diego, Ca. She had a favorite street, (I think it was Turquoise St.) where she’d park under a blooming bush of a neighborhood street.

If you ever liked any of her hits, like “You Were Meant For Me,” “Who Will Save Your Soul” and “Foolish Games,” then come out to this show. Jewel is a uniquely gifted performer who I can say with 1000% certainly I am looking forward to seeing. Hope to see you out at the show!

*Please note; it’s my opinion this show is likely to sell-out, so log on early this Monday to ensure your spot!
