The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce has a new community relations director. She’s Janelle Tassart who used to serve as development and communications manager for the Gompers Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix.
What will she do at the Chamber? A news release indicates Tassart will be involved in strategic planning along with implementing special events and programs targeted to promote business growth and retention in the metro area. She will also recruit and help retain sponsors for the Chamber’s activities.
Tassart is a graduate of Arizona State University with a bachelors in marketing and a masters in nonprofit studies. She sits on the board of directors of Raising Special Kids which helps improve the lives of disabled children through support, training, information and individual assistance to Arizona families.
“Janelle’s strong non-profit and events background makes her a great fit for this position and a valuable asset for the Chamber,” notes Chamber vice-president of program development Jennifer Mellor.
