The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce (www.phoenixchamber.com) issued a press release confirming the lease of a huge 201,724 square foot facility at Rio West Business Park in Tempe to American Airlines Group, the holding company for the newly merged American Airlines and U.S. Airways.

The facility houses accounting, customer service and IT jobs for American and is the anchor tenant in the business park. The lease runs through April 2019 for buildings B and E and September 2017 for building A.

American also has staff facilities on W. Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe as well as reservation and customer services at other locations in the city. American also has their flight, training and maintenance operations at Sky Harbor Airport. The company employs more than 10,000 people in Arizona.

Tom Adelson of CBRE’s Phoenix Office (www.cbre.com/phoenix) represented American in the lease agreement. Leavitt-Wolff Tempe Holdings, LLC of Seattle, the landlord, was represented by Warren Johnson of CBRE’s Phoenix office.
