Phoenix area 2013 art shows: Art, music and food to delight the art lover

Scottsdale offers a series of winter and spring art shows, festivals, and performances that will have give you plenty of opportunities to indulge your senses.

Back for its 23rd year, the Celebration of Fine Art is one of Scottsdale’s most notable art shows, featuring 100 artists sprawled across 40,000 square feet of space. Through March 24th, visitors can meet the artists and watch them work in the full spectrum of art media, including oil, watercolor, pastels, sculpture and assemblages to glass, ceramics, stone, furniture, jewelry and more. Works range from realistic to impressionistic, western realism to contemporary, landscapes to still life. Location: SW corner of Hayden Rd and Loop 101, off Exit 35 in the Big White Tents. Cost: $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and military. Children under 12 are admitted at no charge.

The Scottsdale Arts Festival takes place March 8th - 10th. 200 jury-selected artists from throughout the United States and Canada who work in painting, sculpture, glass and ceramics, jewelry, photography and more. Works of art are available for purchase directly from the artists and through the Festival’s online art auction. You can also enjoy music and festival food. Cost: Single-Day Pass: $8, Two-Day Pass: $12 with Special Pricing: $5 for students (student pricing not available online), FREE for children 12 and under and FREE for members of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and SMoCA. New! Surprise Fine Art & Wine Festival
Thunderbird Artists hosts this inaugural event, featuring more than 100 jury-selected artists from around the nation and abroad, complemented by food, wine and live music.

Wigwam Festival of Fine Art
More than 100 artists, including members of Cowboys Artists of America and Western Artists of America, present their works in an outdoor gallery. Wine tastings and live music are included.
