It was a rather warm day on Monday, but the humidity was low so it was tolerable; we reached a high of 88 this afternoon at Philly International Airport after a low of 62 this morning. The humidity is starting to creep up and overnight we'll have showers and non-severe thunderstorms(with small hail) as lows will only be around 70.
The showers are gone by sunrise and the clouds will push away as well; ince we'll start off mild the only way to go is up. We shall do that thanks to a light southerly wind as highs will be in the lower 90s(the first 90 degree day this year!). Given the dewpoints into the middle and upper 60s we'll be talking about a Heat Index into the middle 90s! There will be clouds in the afternoon as the remnants of a Mesoscale Convective System will pass by to the north(since high pressure is on top of us storms will have to take the "long way" around it). Overnight lows will once again be 70 or higher and on Wednesday it will be another hot and humid day with highs in the lower to middle 90s.
Come Thursday a front will push through from the north and we'll run a risk for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs in the middle 80s, but on the back side we'll have drier air despite showers and thunderstorms with highs in the lower 80s.
