Phillip Phillips of "American Idol" is dealing with some drama today. TMZ reported on Feb. 14 that his mother was arrested for DUI. She was on several episodes of the show. Her name is Sheryl Phillips.
She was in Albany, Georgia when she was swerving all over the road before she was stopped. TMZ even has a picture of her mugshot up on their site. She was unable to complete the field sobriety test and was then arrested.
Phillip parents just split up and he has not been really close with them since he won "American Idol." It is unknown if he is helping her to get out of jail or even involved in it . Dougherty County Jail did confirm that it was her arrested.
He has been on Twitter talking about his busy day yesterday, but so far has not mentioned the arrest and probably won't talk about it either. Are you shocked to hear that his mom was arrested? Sound off in the comments below.
