One of the best things about being involved in community is when you see folks come out to support – your fundraisers, induction balls, fiestas, etc. Philippine American Community of Peninsula and its members were one of the many of such lifelines. PACP came out everywhere – they represented. They participated in Friendship Day 2013; I was ecstatic to see incoming President Vangie Wright and her husband, Brian, at Batangas Association celebrations; last year’s President Marides Daus travelled to Gawad Kalinga meetings and events. That is just the short list. And driving from the other side of Hampton Roads and crossing the notorious tunnel with its perpetual traffic is a commitment.
Thank you PACP! A sage man once said, “Showing up matters”.
I was fortunate and honored to attend some of PACP’s events last year as well – I met their wonderful constituents, talented younger generation and engaged in the camaraderie which evoked the best of caring people. PACP – you are class personified.
Having just stepped down from my soapbox, I want to remind and encourage folks to attend “Puttin’ on the Glitz”, PACP’s 36th Induction Ball on February 15, 2014 at 5:30 pm. The venue is Marriott Hotel in Newport News. Tickets are $40.00 and dress attire is Formal/Semi-Formal. (And they did not need any marketing because 400 guests are confirmed)
Tickets are pre-sale only and must be purchased by this Friday. Please go to PACP Facebook page for contact and other information for this event as well as happenings
