Philip Seymour Hoffman's love is helping plan a memorial for the actor who died suddenly over the weekend. On Feb. 4 Mail Online reported that a private wake will be held for Hoffman on Thursday evening. His estranged girlfriend Mimi O'Donnell was seen along with his mother, Marilyn O'Connor, at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home in New York. The two were presumably making arrangements for Hoffman.

"O'Donnell, 46, traveled to an Upper East Side funeral parlor early this morning to begin the arduous task of planning for the Hollywood's star's funeral which will take place on Friday at St. Ignatius of Loyola," Mail Online reports.

Philip Seymour Hoffman's love helping plan his memorial isn't surprising. The two have been dating for quite a few years and while they were very private, many say that O'Donnell is torn up following the death of the actor.

As previously reported, Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his New York apartment on Sunday. According to police, the actor had a needle in his arm. Several bags of heroin were found in his apartment and initial reports suggest that Hoffman overdosed on the drug. He has struggled with addiction for most of his life. An autopsy report may not be conclusive until a toxicology report is completed (that usually takes 4-6 weeks).

Philip Seymour Hoffman's memorial will be filled with love and tears. He was a wonderful man that will be remembered for many years to come.
