Ocasr winning Philip Seymour Hoffman joins a long list of actors we've lost before their time. The 46 year old thespian was found dead in his Manhattan apartment this morning. Hoffman suffered from substance abuse, and while staying clean for 23 years, he attended drug rehab in 2012. A prolific actor, he appeared in varied hits including “The Big Lebowski,” “Red Dragon,” “Twister,” “Capote,” “Mission: Impossible III,” and “Doubt.”

While he’s more well-known for his screen and stage work, Hoffman appeared in an episode of PBS children’s series “Arthur.” Portraying a fictitious version of himself, William Phillmore Toffman, the actor extraordinaire showcased his versatility. Though Hoffman’s life has been cut drastically short, his acting credits will continue to spread his spirit and celebrate his life.
