Is summer already fizzling for you? In the heat of August it’s easy to get caught up in the back to school hustle. Fortunately there are some great ways to keep your cool and rock out with some great live music in and around the Hub.

Boston’s MIX 104.1 radio station is hosting its annual free MIXFest concert. The concert returns to Boston September 13th featuring performances by Phillip Phillips, O.A.R., Christina Perri and Magic, the Canadian band responsible for the song “Rude.”
For even more excitement, the day kicks off with an exclusive performance by the winner of MIX 104.1's 15 Seconds of Fame contest. Check out the pool of applicants for the contest on our website. The grand prize is a chance to be this year’s opening act at MIXFest. MIXFest will take place right in Boston on the Charles River at the DCR Memorial Hatch Shell. More info will be available on MIX 104.1’s website soon.

If that’s not enough, don’t sweat, the party is just getting started with a whole new season of concerts. Light up the night with the electric sound candy of Calvin Harris and Duke Dumont at 103.3 AMP Radio’s Electric Bounce House 2014. For even more electric awesomeness, keep listening to AMP Radio and checking their website for the highly anticipated unveiling of the third mystery artist to join the party. UPDATE: The mystery act has been announced! Zedd will be joining the crew on stage in Lowell!

The concert kicks off October 16th at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. Tickets will run between $47.50 for general admission and $77.50 for Pavilion Deck seats. Electric Bounce House 2014 is 18+ and ids will be checked for seating.
