Lead singer for Earth, Wind, and Fire, Philip Bailey, will be in New York City on April 17th signing copies of his memoir Shining Star at the Barnes & Noble on Broadway.

Shining Star recollects Bailey's experiences with the band, from the shot to worldwide stardom, to the band's dismantling, and then their regrouping nearly a decade later. Filled with humble candor, Shining Star will be beloved by Bailey's legions of fans, as well as those wanting to learn about the experiences of fame, and its impact on those who acquire it.

Philip Bailey is an American R&B, soul, gospel and funk singer, songwriter, percussionist and actor, best known as the lead singer of Earth, Wind & Fire. Admired for his four-octave vocal range and distinctive falsetto register, Bailey has been the recipient of seven Grammy Awards. Bailey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire. Bailey was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame for his work with the band. He lives in Southern California.
