Harrah’s Philadelphia opened Pennsylvania’s first Million Dollar Pit on Saturday, May 24. Gamers have been placing their $5 bets for the past few weeks in the hopes of winning the top prize, but it took a local woman to bring it on home. . . or keep it there.

Mary Anne Mahoney, a Philadelphia resident, won $100,000 on a single $5 Let It Ride table game bet on June 7. She hit with a heart-suited straight. The million comes when you have with a five-card diamond-suited straight. But on a single $5 bet at the Million Dollar Pit, $100,000 isn't half bad.

The jackpots keep coming and we here at Harrah’s Philadelphia couldn’t be happier to see our loyal customers rewarded with life changing amounts of money,” said Ron Baumann, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Philadelphia. “Harrah’s Philadelphia would like to congratulate Mary Anne Mahoney and all the people that have supported this new gaming pit concept since its opening.”

The Million Dollar Pit is exclusively available at Harrah’s Philadelphia, where a guest’s luck can change in an instant with each table game. The Million Dollar Pit includes Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Texas Hold’em, Four Card Poker and Mississippi Stud.

Harrah’s Philadelphia is located at 777 Harrah’s Boulevard in Chester, Pa. You can get more information as to hours and availability of services by calling 800-480-8020 or on their web site by clicking HERE.

So the next time you get a poker jones on, come out to Harrah’s Philadelphia and play The Million Dollar Pit. Who knows? The next winner of $100,000. . . or even a million could be you!
