Weather Summary

More rain is expected today as a wave of low pressure moves along the frontal system that pushed through the region on Friday and is now stalled out to our south and east. Rain showers may be briefly moderate to heavy today with some locations receiving 1/2 to 1 inch of precipitation. Temperatures will be about ten degrees cooler today with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Eventually, the frontal system will be pushed farther to the south and east, but showers will persist into the early morning hours on Sunday. By Sunday afternoon, we can expect partial clearing with highs in the 50s. High pressure will build over the Middle Atlantic states on Monday through Wednesday, and a southerly flow will boost temperatures into the mid and perhaps upper 60s. Abundant sunshine is expected from Monday through Wednesday before another frontal system impacts the area with clouds and showers by next Thursday.
