Weather Summary

A cold front will move through the area and become stalled over the Middle Atlantic region today, just to the south of Philadelphia. This will result in variable cloudiness over the area with a good chance of rain showers this morning and early this afternoon. The front will move to our south later in the day and become a stationary front. This will keep the sky mostly cloudy over Philadelphia on Thursday, but showers will be more scattered. A wave of low pressure is expected to move along the front Thursday and Thursday night with additional, more widespread rain showers. Cloudiness and scattered showers will persist through Friday morning before the front lifts north as a warm front. Once the warm front moves to our north, warmer air will overspread the area with highs in the 60s on Friday. Meanwhile, another front will approach the area from the west on Friday and produce additional rain showers. This front will push to our south and east on Saturday and Sunday, resulting in more sunshine and seasonal temperatures in the upper 50s (although about ten degrees cooler than Friday's highs.) Looking ahead, another area of low pressure may impact the region with rain by Monday.
