Meet Kristen Phillips, a Shaman healer serving the greater Philadelphia area. Below is a detailed question and answer interview so you can learn more about her work and services.
Q: How did you get involved in this line of work, Shamanism?
A: With previous exposure to some Shamanic healing, I sought out for a session upon relocating to New Jersey. (I moved from Wellington, New Zealand to New Jersey on Valentine's Day of 2012). August of 2012 I stumbled through Google on the site. I stumbled upon Adam Kane's site, scheduled a healing session and was blown away with the amount of healing one can offer in a session. I was intrigued and inspired to know that others can heal as well. The healing I felt in the one session was so profound I wanted to spread the word and help others. With my knowledge in healing the body as a massage therapist, sometimes there are restrictions and limitations to ones healing. And it's generally due to the persons self limitations on the healing they can acquire. This opened doors for me that felt like the natural transition to my career as a holistic health healer.
Q: Are you constantly bombarded with energy/intuition/ghosts and if so how do you deal with it?
A: Years ago I used to receive messages from spirits on a regular basis. It was kind of annoying actually. I took a 6-week psychic development class with Eddita Felt and learned how to engage with my gate keeper to balance the amount and frequency of messages.
Q: Would you call this witchcraft?
A: Shamanism is a spiritual practice dating back to prehistoric times. It has been practiced by indigenous people throughout the world. This practice uses building relationships with spirits to engage in the benefit of the highest and best for our community and ourselves. From my experience, witchcraft uses more of spells to cast and brews.
Q: What does a typical session entail?
A: This can solely depend on the needs of the client and what the spirits recommend through divination. There are different healing tools that can be used. Khuya Rumi stones, Mesa work, Journey, drumming, smudging, just to name a few.
Q: How will I feel during and after a session?
A: Each session varies and one can feel energized, or relaxed after a session. Most of the time during the session the client is laying on a massage table and is a silent participant in the healing.
Q: Who is a good candidate for a session?
A: A good candidate is one who is committed to healing the physical, mental and spiritual pieces of their body. Understanding that it takes balancing all pieces of who we are to find healing.
Q: How much is a typical session and how long does it take?
A: Typical session costs $90-$120 this is usually done in 2-3 hours.
Q: What other workshops do you offer and where can I find them?
A: I am offering house blessings at the moment and healing work thru Khuya Rumi stones and my mesa. These are not offered as a workshop quite yet.
Q: Where can I find more information about you?
A: Kristenphillips.com is the best stop to see what else I have that makes me complete.
