Live music is brought by Philebrity.com and balances the atmosphere along the Delaware River for a fun energized Mother’s Day. Of course, there is always a wonderful assortment of food from local Philly vendors to tempt her pallet and yours. If people watching is preferred, as well as, enjoying your own specially selected picnic grub, check out the new Race Street Pier. The terraced promenade offers impressive views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and Delaware River. This is also quite luscious with the newly landscaped lawn and plantings as you sit suspended over the Delaware River. Relax, this Mother’s Day, as you watch the hustle and bustle of runners, boats and people. You may so thoroughly enjoy this new view to decide to return the following Friday when the official Picnic in the Park evening event is set to be held.
Perhaps, on the river is the way to go. If so, be sure to plan ahead and make your reservation for a cruise aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia. Mother’s Day options include a two-hour brunch or mid-afternoon cruise and a three-hour dinner boat tour. Regardless of the time, each mom will receive a flower and all are treated to buffet, music, and of course, fabulous cityscape views. Claim is this option offers access to the largest outdoor deck in town. The Delaware River and waterfront provide the opportunity for an exceptional Mother’s Day treat that will live long in memory and all the pictures you take. So enjoy this treat as you treat her well.
