The regular season is in the books and now it is time for playoff hockey.

The Philadelphia Flyers solidified third place in the Metropolitan Division with their win on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. A date with the second-place New York Rangers is what is in store for the Flyers in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

The series kicks off Thursday night at Madison Square Garden at 7:00 pm. The teams surprisingly get two full days off before resuming their series on Sunday at noon in New York. The Flyers return home for their first game at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night, April 22nd, at 8:00 pm. Following that game, they get another two full days off before returning to action in Philadelphia on Friday night, April 25th.

The full schedule plays out like this:

Game 1: Thursday, April 17 – Flyers at Rangers, 7:00 PM

Game 2: Sunday, April 20 – Flyers at Rangers, 12:00 PM

Game 3: Tuesday, April 22 – Rangers at Flyers, 8:00 PM

Game 4: Friday, April 25 – Rangers at Flyers, 7:00 PM

Game 5: Sunday, April 27 – Flyers at Rangers, 12:00 PM – If Necessary

Game 6: Tuesday, April 29 – Rangers at Flyers, TBD – If Necessary

Game 7: Wednesday, April 30 – Flyers at Rangers, TBD – If Necessary

Anticipation is high in Philadelphia for what is sure to be a hard-nosed, entertaining series between their hated rival, the Rangers. It is safe to day Thursday night cannot come soon enough.
