The current recession has affected most Americans in one way or another. As individuals and families look for ways to limit excess spending, all to often, weight loss and fitness center expenses are the first to be cut, because they are usually considered to be a luxury expense.     Yep. We cancelled out gym membership when our finances started to be stretched too thin. We're paying for it too, physically.

    That's a really nice thing to do. LA Fitness allows members to put their memberships on hold but they still charge a fee for this - I think it's around $10/month.
