Singer/Songwriter Phil Vassar continues his 2013 tour with a stop at the House of Blues in Boston Saturday October 19th starting at 6:00PM. Vassar hails from Lynchburg Virginia and began his career writing songs for artists such as Alan Jackson, Jo Dee Messina, and Tim McGraw. His debut album entitled 'Phil Vassar' hit the charts in 2000, and Vassar proceeded to record six albums. Vassar's 2013 release of 'Don't Miss Your Life' in 2013 includes the hit single 'Love is Alive'.
Vassar has created his own record label 'Rodeowave'. Vassar says, “I’ve always prided myself on writing a lot of different types of songs, while some people may like to play it safe, I prefer diversity. So it’s about new energy and doing different things, getting away from the old ways and starting fresh, that’s what we’ve been able to do with Rodeowave.” Rodeowave has promoted music by The Lumineers, Neal McCoy, and new artists Miss Willie Brown and High Valley.
Vassar has been very active in support of charities and using his talents to provide support. Vassar was a featured artist on Charlie Daniels’ annual Christmas 4 Kids concert, and organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Second Harvest Food Bank and more.
