Phil Robertson talks ISIS: Did Robertson say what folks want Obama to say?

Phil Robertson spoke with Fox’s Sean Hannity last night to promote his new book, but before the book promotion got underway, Hannity and Robertson discussed the ISIS beheading of the two American journalists. The “Duck Dynasty” star said some harsh and direct words about what should be done with the ISIS, some of which the American public may have been yearning for the President to say!

President Obama's comments this morning were regarded as somewhat weak when saying he wanted to work at making ISIS a "manageable problem." Fox News live on Wednesday morning had a political guest saying that these terrorists will never be manageable. Charlie Hurt says Obama is talking like a community organizer and not commander and chief.

As USA Today on Sept. 3 suggests, Robertson, who is a man who lives his life according to the Bible scriptures, had some precise words to say about the ISIS terrorists. What the "Duck Dynasty" star had to say was totally appropriate given the beheading circumstances. What was odd about this interview is that you may have found yourself wishing that this same mindset would come from the government, the people who are running this country.

Phil blatantly conveyed that if you can’t “convert” the ISIS terrorists, then “kill them.” Even he believe converting these terrorists is an impossible feat, but he would like just one Bible study with this group to give it a try, as you can see in the transcript from the interview, which is posted on Fox News today.

“In this case you have to convert them, which I think would be next to impossible, I’m not giving up on them, I’m just saying convert them or kill them. One or the other,” said Robertson.

He equated these terrorists to “street gangs, street thugs on steroids.” He also said that it is not as if there’s a country to fight, he said that we, as a country, have to fight these gangs globally. This is what many would like to hear from the people in charge of this country.

This war is not at all like battling a standing country, it is more like “worldwide gang warfare.” He also said that in his opinion, “We’re going to have to deal with this group way more harshly than we have at this point.” Again, words that may need to be come from the man in charge.

These are the words that many American people want to hear from President Obama. They are strong, decisive words calling this a war, which many people believe it is. Did Phil Robertson show-up President Obama?

After the ISIS conversation, Phil's new book “UnPhiltered” was discussed. The interesting part of the show was watching the world problems solved in theory by Hannity and Robertson! “Convert them or kill them,” is the Bible toting celeb’s idea on how to stop the bloodshed and he's the first to say converting them is next to impossible!
