A Phil Collins, Adele duet may be in the works in the near future, as MSN Music reports this Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, that talented artists Adele and Phil Collins have some new music plans in store for millions of eager fans across the country. Adele allegedly contacted Collins not too long ago with the hope of enlisting his help for her next rumored album. With both the “Rolling in the Deep” star and “You’ll Be in My Heart” singer at the helm of a joint project, there is the possibility of something really incredible coming soon for listeners everywhere.

Phil Collins and Adele may not seem to mesh well together initially, and Collins apparently thought the same thing, claiming that he barely knew who the star was before she recently contacted him. A source claims that Adele decided to reach out to the “In The Air Tonight” artist as she continues to finish up songs to include on a follow-up album to her first record-breaking collection, titled 21. Collins said that when he first received word from Adele, he hardly had any idea who she was. But after hearing the voice of the soulful “Set Fire to the Rain” star, Phil Collins admitted he felt he had to join her in the studio.

He added in a statement to a South Florida media insider on the potential Phill Collins Adele music combo:

"I've just started to work with Adele. She contacted me to write together. I wasn't actually too aware (of her). I live in a cave … She's achieved an incredible amount and I really love her voice and I love some of that stuff she's done. So, to me, it's always an eye-opener. Educational."

There have been a number of reports hinting that Adele has been working on recording new music for another album for several months now. However, she has ultimately been out of the public limelight for quite some time so that she can best fulfill her role as a new mom.
