The metal world has another reason to smile, as classic kvlt progressive death metal masters Phlebotomized announced on their Facebook on Tuesday, March 19th that they had reformed and planned to re-release their discography and play live shows in the coming months.

Phlebotomized Biography '13
Phlebotomized originated in 1989 and was disbanned in 1997.
During their excistence Phlebotomized gained a cult status with the releases Devoted to God (Demo). Preach eternal Gospels (Mini cd) their debut Full lenght CD Immense intense suspense and their bombastic live shows.
The mixture of ultra heaviness, grindcore, melodic orchestral keys and violins made them one of the first Progressive avant garde Death metal acts around the world.
Even today Phlebotomized is praised for their final release "Skycontact (1996)" to be one of the best progressive Metal albums from Holland ever. Phlebotomized was/is often mentioned that they were way ahead of their time back in the ninetees. Phlebotomized live 1992 Phlebotomized 1994
Although Phlebotomized disbanned in 1997 the band gained more and more fans from all over the world. Through social media nowadays the popularity is still growing and Phlebotomized is getting many requests for merchandise and their music.
Due to many requests Phlebotomized decided with several partners to re-release their material on special edition CD's and Vinyl. The first release hitting the distro's will be the "Preach eternal Gospels 20th year anniversary edition" which contains their original demo "Devoted to God" and their mini-cd "Preach eternal gospels , 3 rare livetracks and complete new inlay artwork. All remasterd to nowadays standard and also available on vinyl released bij Vic Recs
In the 3th half of 2013 Phlebotomized will release a triple fold sleeve edition Vinyl of "Immense, Intense, Suspense "and "Skycontact".
To celebrate the releases Original Phlebotomized members: Tom Palms (guitars), Jordy Middelbosch (Guitars), Patrick v/d Zee (Bass) and Maarten Post(Violin) decided to team up with special guests Bastiaan Boekesteijn(Keys) from Emerged, Gerben Mol(Drums)from Iniuria/ Burning Hatred and Carl Assault(Vocals) from Massive Assault to take Phlebotomized back to the venues to play a classic Phlebotomized set from the Immense, Intense, Suspense era.
Phlebotomized will be ready this summer to see those heads bangin'again!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent News Indeed!
The band also posted a pair of videos featuring band members rehearsing classic track 'Subtle Disbalanced Liquidity' and playing said track live at a 'Preach Eternal Gospels' re-release party hosted on February 3rd of this year. The re-release (dropped November 26th 2012) features that classic EP (my review) and excellent demo 'Devoted to God' along with three unreleased live tracks.
The entirity of the band's brief output is excellent, with full lengths 'Intense Immense Suspence' and the 'Skycontact' (my review) among the best of 1990's progressive death metal and rock, respectively.
While a new album is a long term hope for fans, for new the faithful will no doubt savor the return of one of the most impressive bands of its era.
