The westerly-most shop of the Alpine Avenue Ideal Broadway shops is Pharmaca Pharmacy, a place everyone in the neighborhood--and around Boulder-seems to know well. Pharmaca opened its first store at the location pictured here in June of 2000. By the end of their first two years in business, Pharmaca had opened eight stores in four states. Three of them are in Boulder, keeping us a wholly healthy city!

Pharmaca is a pharmacy that takes a holistic and practical approach to health and well-being. Featuring lines of professional-grade supplements, as well as a professionally-trained staff to help customers navigate the walls of treatment options, Pharmaca practitioners are as likely, if not more so, to advise the use of an herbal supplement or homeopathic remedy to treat a customer's ailments as they are to recommend a conventional medication. In addition to the wealth of holistic knowledge this pharmacy offers, Pharmaca boasta full lines of natural beauty brands, cards, gifts and creative consumer products, and a willing and friendly staff at your beck and call. And yes, as the large sign in the window advertises, Pharmaca does offer a full-service post office as well.

The store hours for this location are as follows: the store is open from 8am to 8pm Mondays thru Saturdays, and 10-7 on Sundays. The pharmacy is open from 8am to 8pm Monday thru Friday, 9 to 6 on Saturdays and 10 to 6 on Sundays. You're wreckin' my life with these articles ... Is that barbeque place still there in the back, with those pulled-pork sandwiches?

Without sounding overly gay, Pharmaca was where I learned about Cowgirl skin products: that place is the bomb.
