Phantasy Star Online 2 character creator, demo playable at PAX (Photos)

SEGA announced today that the Western version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will be playable at the Penny Arcade Expo next week. The demo will include a "customized" journey with random battles showcasing the combat and gameplay of Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will even be able to play with each other at PAX via ad hoc to battle a boss.

The in-depth character creator will also be available. Gamers that have experienced the Japanese version of the character creator know how flexible it is. A number of sliders, accessories, and styles are available across the entire avatar. The English version should be no different in its range of customizations.

Not to mention, anyone that stops by the SEGA booth to play either the demo or test their creative skills in the creator will receive a Phantasy Star Online 2 mouse pad. The mouse pad features this image.

PAX is held in Seattle, Washington from August 31, 2012 until September 2, 2012. Attendee badges are sold out, but those that do have access to the event can enjoy Phantasy Star Online 2 while there.

The North American and European version Phantasy Star Online 2 is scheduled to release in 2013. The game will be free-to-play.
