“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks has tried to downplay the fact that her husband Apollo Nida spent time in prison for what she calls a white collar crime, but it seems that Apollo has had difficulty staying out of legal trouble.
On the Sunday, Jan. 26 episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Nida admitted to spending thousands of dollars in strip clubs. The couples were attending a “pajama party” hosted by NeNe and Gregg Leakes when talked turned to Peter Thomas and his visits to Atlanta strip clubs. Thomas called out Kandi Burruss’s fiancée and Phaedra Parks husband Apollo Nida, saying they often spent time in the strip clubs.
Nida then admitted to spending $5,000 to $8,000 a night on drinks. He claimed it was his money and he could spend it as he saw fit, but with no visible sources of income other than his wife’s fans began to question Nida’s statements.
It could be that Apollo Nida has been may be guilty of identity theft and is on the Secret Service’s Counterfeit and U.S. Treasury Check Squad’s radar. The nature of the charges are that Nida created fake corporations which allowed him to access to steal information that allowed him to pen fake bank accounts.
According to TMZ, Nida has been charged with bank fraud and identity theft and has already had an appearance in federal court to answer charges that he stole U.S. Treasury checks, retirement checks from Delta Airline employees and checks that were intended for people who had unclaimed tax money.
