Phaedra Parks will likely file divorce papers against husband, Apollo Nida, as he enters prison. This is based on a report by Liberty Voice on Aug. 29. The article states that Parks plans on divorcing Nida because it's a good financial decision for her and her children. The report adds that Phaedra loves Apollo, so she's not leaving because she doesn't love him.
So, why would the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star divorce her husband? To avoid having to help him pay back the $2 million in restitution fees over the next 20 years.
Apollo Nida must turn himself in to a Kentucky prison on Sept. 10, where he'll serve eight years for bank fraud and identity theft. This will be his second prison term. His first one was for six years after being convicted of involving himself in a car theft scheme.
As Apollo told B100 back in July, he doesn't believe his marriage to Phaedra will last through his prison sentence. He may have drawn that conclusion when his wife didn't appear at his sentence hearing on July 8.
Will Phaedra Parks divorce Apollo Nida after he enters prison? Rumors that she's actually helping Apollo financially were started as well. It's hard to know which is actually true since each report contradicts the one before.
