The Philadelphia federation of Teachers Health and Welfare Fund is presenting a wonderful conference March 8th and 9th, 2013. It will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel at 17th and Race Streets in Philadelphia. Most of the sessions will apply to act 48 credits and credits for paraprofessionals. Friday evening at 8 pm there will be session on how to study, enhancing learning, problem solving, technology, high risk students, blogging and financial literacy among others. On Saturday there are 9 o’clock and 11 o’clock sessions on reading, thinking maps, the common core, Geography, writing, geology, building community and much, much more. This conference will be a fabulous experience to hear about what works in today’s classrooms from today’s educators. It is extremely inexpensive ($3.00 and $5.00 for lunch) so if you are looking for a new job this is a very small investment to meet many important people in Philadelphia.
