Is Peyton Manning unstoppable? Yes, he's pretty much unstoppable, but the long National Football League season stops a lot of people and teams. Nineteen and zero: it doesn't seem realistic with all the things that can happen in the six-plus months between the August preseason swelter and the February Super Bowl glitter.
Drew Brees is more prolific than Peyton Manning in each of their best seasons, but he has just one Super Bowl ring as does Peyton Manning. An offensive machine is, surely, daunting and impressive to fans. Don't expect an undefeated season for the Denver Broncos though. There's just too much football to play and too many ways to be sidetracked.
We remember how Peyton's little brother Eli took the perfect season out of New England's grip several years ago: the best team at the end of the season isn't the best at the beginning. Injuries pile up early on in NFL locker rooms and health (recuperation) happens to me and you, the fans, by surprise. So the fans are often, perhaps usually, surprised. We here in the world will always be surprised: NFL coaches are, undoubtedly, surprised by players and injuries and outcomes.
Who are those teams who haven't been blaring those pesky and crucial injuries with press conferences...these teams are already good enough to win games. They just look a bit short on Sunday though.
Peyton Manning's 2013 passing numbers are without a doubt awesome.
