With the 2012 NFL playoffs getting underway this weekend, the AFC had better be prepared to deal with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
Peyton Manning is a flat out beast. The Colt turned Bronco is incredibly having one of the best seasons of his career and today he is continuing to prove wrong the doubters that said he was washed up after having neck surgery that forced him to miss the entire 2011-12 season.
John Elway gambled on signing Manning in the off season, and there is no doubt that this gamble is a winner!
Manning was voted offensive player of the month today, Jan. 3, for a record tying sixth time.
Manning joined former Rams and Cardinals star Kurt Warner as the only players to throw for 10 touchdowns, 1,300 or more yards, a 70 percent or higher completion percentage, and most importantly five wins in the month of December.
The five wins the Broncos picked up in December helped guide Denver to the top spot in the AFC standings, giving the Broncos home field advantage throughout the 2013 playoffs.
