This weekend, Friday, February 22nd, Saturday, February 23rd and Sunday, February 24th, 2013, Animal Rescue Foundation, Illinois (ARF-IL) participated with PetSmart Charities in one of their several National Adoption Weekends. ARF was present with their adoptable dogs and puppies (and cats and kittens) at the PetSmart located at 63 Rice Lake Square in Wheaton, Illinois; Danada Square East.
Friday night was basically a set-up night, but several cats (since many are housed right at PetSmart in their Adoption Center) were actually present. That night ARF volunteers were there from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
The big day of the event, where many more volunteers were present and the main dog population was in the house, was Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Then today, Sunday, animals and volunteers were there from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. along with many cats and dogs.
Word is that dogs were very lucky animals this weekend as it was reported from Linda Bennett, the Marketing Manager for ARF, 23 dogs found their forever homes. Way to go canines!
Animal Rescue Foundation works very well with PetSmart. They do their very best to get the perfect homes for some very loving and previously homeless pets. Of course PetSmart weighs in on the success of their National Weekend Events. They help the new families find the perfect supplies for their new pet so that it goes home with everything it could possibly need.
You will always be able to tell the ARF volunteers as they don their royal purple attire when they are in the public eye. Another way to tell them is that they are sweet, kind and very helpful! They will ensure that your new pet is up to date on all of their vaccinations and heartworm preventative and that they have received flea and tick treatment. They will also be able to guide you in the necessary steps to update your new pet’s microchip online. This all-volunteer rescue organization then checks to make certain your pet’s contract is completely up-to-date guaranteeing that you have the latest data and services that ARF provides.
Animal Rescue Foundation still has 29 absolutely fabulous canines as well as 36 wonderful felines available for adoption. It is not too late to contact the volunteers at ARF and rescue one of their beautiful animals. Remember to fill out your adoption paperwork online or print and mail. If you are interested in adopting a specific animal, make sure to note that on your paperwork.
Excellent job ARF-IL and PetSmart. You do unbelievable work!
