The AHVM Foundation is the place to start
This foundation was established as a tax deductible nonprofit group to
receive and administer funds for research and education in all aspects of
integrative medicine, especially as it pertains to that part which is
called holistic, alternative, or complementary veterinary medicine (CAVM).
The Foundation concentrates on three aspects:
· Scholarships for veterinary students who are interested in learining this branch
of veterinary medicine
· Research funding in this aspect of veterinary medicine
· Support for the use of and education in this branch in US veterinary schools
The Foundation is working to sign up one million people who will donate a
dollar a month to generate $12 million annually for research and education
in integrative veterinary medicine.
Any donation amount is welcome!
Additionally, they're asking people to pass on information about the Foundation to
friends, family and colleagues - word-of-mouth is so crucial in generating
grassroots support that is affordable and sustainable.
Here's the kicker! If you donate to support the Foundation between
March 10th thru the17th, your donations will be TRIPLED in kind by a generous major donor. How cool is that? It can truly help to create change in our educational options.
