A&E placed Phil Robertson on hiatus over some anti-gay remarks he made during an interview with GQ. Phil Robertson may be banned from being on future filming episodes of “Duck Dynasty” but many fans are coming to his defense and demanding they reinstate the star. At least two petitions are circulating to have A & E bring Phil back to the reality TV show.

The petition starts out with Freedom of speech along with freedom of religion is being attacked every single day in this country. Phil Robertson simply stated what his convictions are. Homosexuals have their convictions and Christians respect them. . . It continues with, “Duck Dynasty has a huge following and WE THE PEOPLE stand behind Phil Robertson and his family. We stand for faith and freedom. We stand for family and values. Those who disagree have the God given right to, that doesn't mean Phil needs to be punished for exercising his rights." starts their petition with "I am writing to you regarding your network's intolerant, discriminatory, and punitive treatment of Mr. Phil Robertson, star of A&E's #1 hit show, Duck Dynasty.” The petition ends with, "There are 46 million Faith Driven Consumers in America today who spend 1.75 trillion dollars annually. Should you refuse to equally respect and welcome our legitimately held views, we will gladly stop watching this and all other A&E programming and turn to any reformulation of Duck Dynasty on another network – while simultaneously supporting brands that stand with the show and the Robertson family." has set their goal for 200,000. They have almost reached that goal with 176,149. has 109,298 signatures. They need 40,702 more signatures to reach their goal.

“Duck Dynasty” viewers love Phil, and without him, the show will not be the same. The Robertson’s have a strong belief foundation in God and they're not afraid to share their views on God and the Bible. His son was a pastor of a church, but this year, he joins the family on their TV reality show. Time will tell whether the petitions will do any good, or if the show will falter with the much loved Phil gone.
