Yesterday I published article about little Hope, the kitten who had been brutally beaten, buried alive, dug up, beaten again and finally died, all in front of the wife of the alleged perpetrator, Richard Andres. You can find that story here, or at the link below.
People at the wonderful and compassionate people at Hand4Paws have drawn up a petition directed at Justice Geoffrey D. Cohen, the Judge who will hear this case, asking that the maximum possible sentence be imposed on Richard Andres, the heartless monster who is accused of this horrible crime.
Andres is no stranger to the court system, having been previously arrested multiple times for various crimes and spending a year in prison. The savage beating and eventual murder of tiny Hope was done as a threat for his wife, as he forced her to witness the entire thing. She was found by police to be trembling and in fear for her own life when she reported the crime.
He is currently charged with domestic violence, assault and cruelty causing death, pain and suffering to an animal. His bail was set at $30,000 and he remains behind bars, being forbidden to have contact with his wife or any other animals if he does post bail and gets out pending his trial.

This baby had no chance to grow up and live as a cherished and beloved family member. Instead, Andres brutally beat her with his fists, slammed her against the wall, buried her alive, dug her up and then savagely bashed her into the bathroom sink until she finally died. All of this because he claims the kitten scratched him.
This precious baby deserves justice, and Andres' wife needs to know he is in prison and unable to hurt her again either. Hope had no voice to stop the heartless violent assault that clearly caused agonizing pain and terror, until death mercifully arrived. Advocates must now be her voice for justice.
