Peter Pan opens tonight at the Aronoff

On opening night, Tuesday, March 12th, a group of children, who participate in the Most Valuable Kids program will be joining audiences as they discover the magic of the two-time Emmy Award winning and two-time Tony® Award nominated production: Cathy Rigby is Peter Pan!

“We are excited to be partnering with Broadway in Cincinnati and Sugar n’ Spice to provide this unique experience for kids in need,” said Sherri Friedman, CEO, Most Valuable Kids.

“The kids attending this performance would never have the opportunity to experience a production such as this without the generosity of this donation.”

Sugar N’ Spice owner, Steven Frankel, is a corporate sponsor of Most Valuable Kids and he opens his doors monthly to provide a free “breakfast for dinner” meal to the kids and chaperones prior to attending an event.

“I realize the cost of purchasing food at a sports or cultural venue can be an additional burden to the families served by Most Valuable Kids,” said Frankel. “Our staff enjoys seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids when they come in for pancakes on their way to an event and we can’t wait to see the kids tomorrow night in the pajamas on the way to the theater.”

Joining the Tony® Award nominee Cathy Rigby for the production is Broadway’s Brent Barrett as Mr. Darling/Hook. Brent has entertained millions of fans around the world from Broadway to the West End, concerts halls, recording studios, film and television. Kim Crosby (Cinderella in the original Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Jerry’s Girls) returns to play Mrs. Darling.

Show times for ‘Peter Pan’ are at 7:30 p.m. from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 6:30 p.m. on Sundays. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays. The show will be in Cincinnati through Sunday, March 17.
