Peter Dinklage to Play Main Antagonist in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST

Variety has recently reported Golden Globe winner, Peter Dinklage will be the main antagonist in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Originally when the news broke, many suggested Dinklage would be playing Puck, who is a member of Alpha Flight, but Variety reports he will actually be playing a villain which rules Puck out. Other suggestions are anything from Sugar Man, Boliver Trask or just mo-capping the Sentinels, but no one has mentioned voicing the Nimrod Sentinel. For those unaware, Days of Future Past is one of the more popular X-Men storylines in Uncanny X-Men #141 and #142, published in 1981. The story deals with an alternate future where mutants are incarcerated in internment camps and an adult Kitty Pryde transfers her mind into her younger self. Kitty then brings the X-Men to prevent a fatal moment in history which triggered anti-mutant hysteria, which turned into the 25th greatest Marvel Comic story of all time by fans in 2001. The storyline alternated between present day and a future timeline caused by the X-Men’s failure to prevent the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future, Sentinels rule the United States and mutants are forced to live in internment camps. The present day X-Men are forewarned by Kitty Pryde, but despite her success, the future timeline is still existent, but as an alternate timeline rather than the actual future.
